This fine knäckebröd from Dalarna still bakes with the same baking machines but in ovens that are heated with electricity instead of firewood. It is a crunchy crispbread baked on Swedish rye and with excellent craftsmanship. Vika has a brown colour and is beautifully dented with a uniquely rich and full-bodied taste. Since autumn 2013, this knäckebröd has been baked in Leksand with the same original recipe since 1923. Another critical detail in the production of Vika Prima is that you let the pre-baked crispbread hang dry before it is wrapped in the classic wrapping paper with the unfinished illustration by the all-purpose artist Rune Lindström. The baked aftertaste gives a compelling character to the crispbread and goes well to eat with a dollop of butter or a slice of cheese.
